Our Process for Building a Custom Home
Building Your Dalamar Home
Dalamar Homes will be by your side throughout the entire process of building your custom home. Your Client Service Specialist will send you regular updates through the client portal and will be available to answer any questions you may have along the way.
AFTER THE CONTRACT
After the purchase agreement is signed, it's time to start on your floor plan. During your Structural Meeting, you will decide on how you will structurally customize your home. Our drafting team will then draw your plans accordingly. Every single one of our custom homes is site-specifically engineered — your home is drawn for your lot, ensuring structural integrity.
SELECTIONS APPOINTMENT
Once your floorplans are complete, you will move on to the selection process. This is when you get to choose colors, interior and exterior finishes, and any custom details that will help personalize your home and make it a unique reflection of you.
AUDIO VISUAL SELECTIONS APPOINTMENT
Meet with the audio and media company to customize your home entertainment experience. Choose a system as simple or as advanced as you desire. Once you have made all of your audio and video selections, it is time to get to work.
ON-SITE PRE-CONSTRUCTION ORIENTATION
Meet and greet with your Project Manager and Sales Agent. They will walk you through the steps taken to deliver your home, including the foundation, framing, and mechanical stages. Your Project Manager will also schedule the Pre Drywall Orientation at this time.
ON-SITE PRE DRYWALL ORIENTATION
Walk your home to see its status before drywall is installed. This stage allows you to visualize your space and appreciate the progress before final finishes — flooring, paint, and trim — are applied.
CLOSING LETTER
Dalamar will notify you approximately 30 days before completion to begin the closing process and coordinate contact information for your Final Home Orientation. Start planning your move!
FINAL HOME ORIENTATION
Two final orientations are conducted to ensure your home is in perfect condition. The Dalamar team will walk through every detail with you, reviewing all completed and outstanding items before closing day.
